Salish Lodge & Spa is proud to bring you another year of culinary exploration, fun and endless exquisiteness through our Culinary Adventures program. The creation of this program was inspired by the culinary team's years of traveling and tasting the finest food of the world, and their desire to bring that passion to the Pacific Northwest. We invite you to experience these outstanding epicurean dinners and discover the unparalleled treasures of our region and beyond.
This year, we are thrilled to introduce a new component to our Culinary Adventures program: the Chef-for-a-Day series. These events will enable you to truly experience the craft of winemakers, cheesemakers and foragers by walking a day in their shoes and creating your own artisan products. They promise to be exhilarating and unique experiences, each in its own right. This is likely the best way to get an adventurous taste of the bounty and rich beauty that is the culinary side of the Pacific Northwest.
Alternate your chef excursions with indulgent, memorable epicurean dinners at the lodge. Explore with us as we take time to enjoy the riches and beauty of our land... and get ready for an adventure of a lifetime!
Seating for each event is limited to 24 people unless otherwise noted. Advance reservations for Culinary Adventures events are required and may be made by calling 800.2.SALISH (800.272.5474) or 425.888.2556, or send an e-mail

Alan Shoup is one of the most celebrated pioneers of the Washington state wine industry, for his reflections of a style called "garagistes." This 1990s movement of innovative winemakers in Bordeaux emerged in reaction to the more traditional styles of the region, but whose wines have regularly received top marks from Robert Parker.
At this Salish dinner, enjoy the many vintages and varietals that under Alan's direction have become known as intense and individualistic, from micro-sized wineries that produce small amounts of these full, fruity, highly specialized garagistes-style wines. Join Chef Justin Sledge’s culinary team and Alan as they collaborate on what will be an evening to remember.
